Biden's Brainiac Calls for Indo-US AI Mix!

Joe Biden's Science Advisor, Arati Prabhakar, just sparked a major idea, hinting at a potential cross-continental collab. She believes that the United States should team up with AI enthusiasts from like-minded nations like our very own! The idea? To steer the ship of Artificial Intelligence in a direction that benefits all, just like a well-cooked biryani!

This comes right after Uncle Sam invited the big guns of tech, Google and Microsoft, to ensure AI tech is used like a friendly neighborhood Spiderman - for the public good and not villainy.

After all, AI is a global superstar - it's everywhere, just like Bollywood songs at a desi wedding. It's playing a lead role in everyone's lives. So, the idea is to ensure that we, the like-minded countries, are the directors of this AI movie.

AWS & DGT: Crafting Cloud-Savvy Artisans of the Future

The Directorate General of Training (DGT), serving under the mighty umbrella of the Ministry of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (MSDE), is teaming up with the cloud services wiz-kid of Amazon India, Amazon Web Services (AWS) India. These flavor-packed learning modules will be served hot on DGT’s Bharat Skills platform, the central buffet of updated curricula, course content, blended digital content, question banks, and all-you-can-learn videos under the Craftsmen Training Scheme (CTS) and Crafts Instructor Training Scheme (CITS).

It's a Match! India AI and Meta Pledge Allegiance for AI Advancements

In a move akin to a blockbuster tech alliance, India AI—a high-tech arm of Digital India Corp.—and Meta India are shaking hands (virtually, of course) on a memorandum of understanding (MoU). This marks the start of a thrilling collaboration journey in the land of AI and emerging tech, including making Meta's open-source AI models a playground for the Indian AI ecosystem.

The e-ink on this MoU was dried by Shri Abhishek Singh, CEO of India AI, and Shri Shivnath Thukral, Meta's Director & Head of Public Policy in India. In Singh's words, "India's digital stride is in turbo mode and AI is the turbocharger! With Meta on board, we're gearing up to leverage AI tech like Llama and other open-source solutions to turn large-scale challenges into victories."

Buckle up folks, this partnership is set to turbocharge India's AI journey!

But wait, there's more! The selected startups will get the golden ticket to pitch to leading venture capital funds, angel investors, and industry leaders. As if that's not enough, these tech pioneers will also get to ride the AWS Activate program roller coaster and scale their production-ready generative AI applications on Amazon SageMaker JumpStart.
