What’s the buzz today?🗣️
AI & layoffs never-ending story continues — IBM CEO Arvind Krishna announced that the company plans to use AI to automate nearly 8,000 jobs in its IT services division. This move is part of a larger restructuring effort aimed at shifting IBM's focus towards higher-margin businesses like cloud computing and AI. With increased competition from cloud computing rivals like Amazon and Microsoft, IBM is looking to stay ahead of the game.
🤩Be like Akash — Akash Nigam, the CEO of Genies, the avatar technology company, has brought some AI magic into his office! He's shelled out a whopping Rs 2 lakhs per month to give his employees access to ChatGPT, an AI language model. ChatGPT is trained on a vast amount of human language data, which means it can generate responses to customer inquiries and social media captions that sound like they were written by real humans. Nigam believes that using ChatGPT will save his employees loads of time - more time for chai breaks! while improving their customer service and marketing efforts. Way to go, Akash!

😲 Samsung banned ChatGPT — Samsung has banned its employees from using ChatGPT after some sneaky engineers leaked the source code of a company chatbot that used the technology. The leak exposed the company's proprietary data and raised concerns about the security of sensitive information.
But seriously, this is a reminder that when it comes to AI tech, security is no laughing matter. With ChatGPT being used by several companies to automate customer service and social media management, it's important to ensure that sensitive information is protected. Let's hope Samsung learns from this and comes back stronger than ever. Maybe they can even develop their own AI model...we'll call it "SamGPT"! 🤖🤖

What is Pi?
Pi is a dialog-based chatbot created by Mustafa Suleyman, CEO of the year-old startup Inflection. The company has already raised a whopping $225 million and claims to run one of the world's largest language models. Pi is designed to be a true AI-based personal assistant that can help users talk through questions or problems.
How does Pi work? Unlike other chatbots, Pi follows a dialog-focused approach. When asked a question, it responds with one of its own and engages in a back-and-forth dialog with the user. Through multiple exchanges, Pi can understand the user's intent, much like a sounding board. It's not limited to a single platform, supporting a web browser, phone app, WhatsApp, SMS, Facebook, and Instagram DMs. Pi remembers up to 100 turns of conversation across these platforms, making it an interactive and personalized experience for the user.
Use case for Pi: Pi is intended to be an active listener that remembers the user's preferences, likes, and dislikes, helping them make decisions and improve their daily life. For instance, if you ask Pi to help plan a dinner party, it will remember the details and even follow up on how the party went when you talk to it later. It's a personal companion that gets to know the user over time and can provide support and guidance whenever needed.
